Choosing an at-home IPL hair removal device

IPL, short for intense pulsed light, targets the pigment in the hair root. It reduces regrowth over a course of sessions rather than removing hair in one go, and our handset is designed for treatments twice a week at home.

IPL works best on dark hair with light to medium skin. It does not work on grey, white, red or very light blonde hair, and it is not safe on the deepest skin tones.

The result is permanent hair reduction, not permanent removal, so plan for occasional top-ups once your course is finished.
